With a wealth of projects in the pipeline we currently have an opportunity within our Transportation business for you to work with a team of transport planners, modellers and traffic engineers on a variety of transportation planning, transport modelling, traffic engineering, masterplan and public transport planning projects. We are seeking to hire a **Transport Planning Lead** to join our growing team based in Malaysia. You will lead and manage the Transport Planning (TP) Team based in Malaysia, contribute, to the growth. Primary area of focus, is people and operational management while maintaining a strong focus on service delivery to clients. You will provide project management and technical leadership as well as mentorship to junior and intermediate staff. The role will report directly to **Regional Market Solution Lead (RMSL) for Transport Planning in Asia**. The key accountabilities are as below: - Lead Transport Planning Malaysia to identify, secure, deliver and follow up on transport planning projects in Malaysia - Grow Jacobs’ share of transport planning market in Malaysia, - Work collaboratively with wider transport market sector to help identify market triggers, drivers and opportunities to deliver strategic growth objectives of Transport sector - Deliver Transport Planning services to clients in Malaysia - Assist in managing client relationships in partnership with RMSL. - Develop and empower section members to contribute to securing new or repeat business through successful performance and delivery of projects in Malaysia - Assist in business development activities and supporting the development of technical and fee proposals. **Here’s What You’ll Need**: You will have the following ; - Project management experience including understanding of project commercial and contractual risks - Client facing and experience of presenting to senior decision makers - Sound transport planning experience and expertise - Experienced in at least one of the transport modelling software packages: EMME, VISSIM, VISUM - Highly numerate with excellent data analysis skills. Competency in data analysis packages, such as Excel/Access. - Good technical report writing and communication skills, with the ability to communicate transport modelling results to clients and stakeholders. - Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements - Leads performance and career dialogue approach within TP Malaysia team, assists staff with career planning activities and responsible for developing and retaining identified talent in TP team; participates in Talent Review process - You will identify individual learning and development requirements, manages career discussions for staff within TP Malaysia team **Jacobs.
