Facilities Maintenance Technician

**Job Description Summary**:
Facilities Maintenance Technician will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and systems critical to the manufacturing and building operations. Experienced maintenance professional possessing the knowledge, skills, and ability to troubleshoot and repair manufacturing and utility equipment issues with mínimal guidance or supervision. Drive best practice daily through high standards of engineering, compliance and HS&E standards.
**Essential Responsibilities**:

- Perform daily monitoring, preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and utility equipment/ systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair of manufacturing and utility equipment/systems such as pumps, motors, control valves and cylinder.
- Support production activities at all times by ensuring minimum response times to equipment breakdowns and achievement of equipment availability targets.
- Supervise and coordinate with contractors and vendors on works according to schedule maintenance, repair, shut down and overhaul works.
- Ensure maintenance work done comply to local regulatory, corporate safety and industrial standards.
- Able to provide simple report on downtime and ensure action follow up to prevent recurrence of breakdowns.
- Ensure all documentation and data is complete, accurate and current.
- Support the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler in the identification and procurement of parts required for maintenance.
- Keep track of spare part and inventory usage to maintain spare part/inventory control.
- Assist Engineers in carrying out engineering evaluations/experiments/ troubleshooting.
- Provide feedback and give suggestions to improve equipment stability and performance.
- Participate and contribute actively in continuous improvement activities.
- Ensure that maintenance cover for production areas is provided at all times by demonstrating flexibility regarding working overtime to provide cover for holidays, sick leave, shutdown periods, busy periods and as required.
- Assist new colleagues on their On-the-Job-Training (OJT) by acting as their buddy.
- Maintain good housekeeping and safety practices in the production and maintenance support areas.
- Respond to emergency calls for any troubleshooting required at site.
- Service, diagnose and rectify faulty electrical and mechanical components and air-conditioning equipment
- LV and HV Switching - depends on the level.
- Breaker Servicing.
- Electrical Panel responsibility (SSB, MSB, VCB and Transformer room) - also depends on the level.
- Update on Condition of the protection relay: Calibration.
- Make sure the electrical installation in good condition (switchgear)
- Monitoring power consumption: Advice on power consumption (in real time of load factories)
- Genset condition monitoring and handling changeover.
- Liaise with visiting Engineer for monthly check-up of Electrical installations.
- For Emergency situation: Trip / blackout: Able to reach and attend the problems any. (Considering Public Holiday and night time)
- Provide support in the service, repair and maintenance of all facilities including compressor, chiller, Fire prevention system, and HVAC.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by superior or Management from time to time.

**Qualifications / Requirements**:
