**Position: Halal Executive / Halal Assurance Officer**

**Department**: Halal & Quality Compliance
**Location**: Batu Pahat, Johor
**Employment Type**: Full-Time

**Job Summary**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure all products, ingredients, suppliers, and processes comply with JAKIM Halal requirements
- Maintain and update Halal Assurance System (HAS) files and documentation
- Liaise with certification bodies (e.g. JAKIM, JAIN, Halvec) and prepare for audits or renewals
- Conduct internal Halal audits and staff training on Halal practices
- Monitor production processes and cleanliness according to Halal and Syariah requirements
- Evaluate and document supplier Halal certificates and ingredient changes
- Work closely with QA/QC and production teams to ensure compliance
- Handle non-conformance cases and corrective actions related to Halal breaches
- Ensure timely submission of renewal, product registration, and ingredient updates

**Requirements**:

- Diploma / Degree in Halal Management, Food Technology, Shariah Studies, or related field
- Completed recognized **Halal Executive Training (Latihan Pegawai Halal)**:

- Minimum 1-3 years of working experience in Halal compliance (food manufacturing preferred)
- Knowledge of Halal Certification Procedures Manual & Malaysia Halal Standards (MS 1500)
- Familiar with HACCP, MESTI, or ISO22000 systems is a plus
- Fluent in **Bahasa Malaysia**:

- Strong documentation, coordination, and communication skills
- Able to work independently and across departments

**Bonus Skills**:

- Experience dealing directly with JAKIM or HALAL consultants
- Familiar with export documentation or international Halal standards
