**Key Responsibilities**

**1. Individual Counseling**
- Provide individual counseling sessions to students experiencing personal, academic, or emotional difficulties.
- Use evidence-based counseling techniques to address issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, and relationship concerns.
- Create and implement personalized treatment plans, offering short-term therapeutic support, and make referrals to external professionals when necessary.

**2. Group Counseling and Workshops**
- Facilitate small group therapy sessions or support groups on topics such as stress management, adjustment to university life, and social anxiety.
- Assist in organizing and delivering mental health workshops on topics like coping strategies, study skills, and wellness.

**3. Student Support and Consultation**
- Offer consultation services to faculty, staff, and other campus departments on how to support students' mental health and well-being.
- Assist in referring students to appropriate services or external mental health providers when necessary.

**4. Other**
- Participate in any special project efforts executed by the Deputy Vice Chancellor's office.

**Required Qualifications**

**Education**:

- A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 2 years of professional counseling experience, preferably in a higher education or youth/adolescent setting.
- Experience providing individual and group therapy to students dealing with emotional, academic, or personal issues.
- Strong ability to handle crisis situations and provide immediate interventions.

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with students.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple cases, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of mental health disorders, psychological assessments, and counseling techniques.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with discretion.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
