Safety Health Officer

Responsible to advise the employer or any person in charge of a work place on the measures to be taken in the interests of safety and health of the persons employed in the place of work.
- Responsible to ensure Company’s Policies, Working Procedures, Working Instructions, EHS Management System and other related instruction which required by the Management are implemented effectively.
- Responsible to plan and conduct Safety Induction program for all levels of employees especially the newly joined staff and site workers before the commencement of work at site.
- Responsible to advice the Management / Project Manager on the Occupational Safety and Health Acts, Regulations and related instructions from the authority’s department such as CIDB, JKKP KKM, JTK etc.
- Responsible to plan and carry out safety inspection to determine whether any machinery, plant, equipment, substance, appliance or process or any description of manual labour used in the place of work is of such nature liable to cause bodily injury to any person on daily basis and report to PIC for improvement action.
- Responsible to plan and conduct necessary in-house safety training for all site workers as to enhance the performance of safety at site.
- Responsible to ensure all site workers are inducted with induction sticker, daily working permit and valid CIDB green card before they can perform their works at the worksite.
- Responsible to promote the Occupational Safety and Health awareness and understanding program for all workers at the worksite
- Responsible to plan and ensure daily Safety Toolbox Meeting is conducted and documented before the workers start their work at site.
- Responsible to plan and carry out Site Safety Walk-about, Site Safety Inspection and Safety Audit at work site.
- Responsible to implement the internal permit to work (PTW) system and to inspect and ensure all work activities are carried out in accordance to the Project Safety Plan (PSP) requirements. All records are to be recorded and compiled accordingly.
- Responsible to report and investigate any accident, near miss accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning or disease which has happened in the place of work. All records are to be recorded and compiled accordingly.
- Responsible to plan and established the Environmental, Health and Safety Committee at the worksite, become the secretary of the committee and to ensure monthly EHS Committee meeting is conducted and recorded accordingly.
- Responsible to collect and maintain safety statistics such as accident, near miss accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning and disease which have occurred at the place of work.
- Responsible to plan and prepare the legal register and lead the team to carry out the evaluation of legal compliance at site.
- Responsible for the maintaining, updating and compiling of safety records within the EHS Department.
- Responsible to collect data for analysis and identify areas for improvement to further enhance the effectiveness and efficiencies of the EHS Management System.
- Fully responsible to plan and prepare the monthly Safety and Health Report and to ensure it is submitted accordingly to the related party on time.
- Responsible to plan and review the Hazard Identifications, Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC) for all work activities before the commencement of work at site.
- Review and check the potential hazard such as Job Safe Analysis (JSA) before the commencement of work at site.
- To coordinate with the security management of work site on daily work and during any Public Holiday or Festival.
- To assist any Officer from the Client’s EHS Department and / or Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) in carrying out his duty at the workplace.
- To perform any other job duties when required by the EHS Manager or the Management.

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
