Pulau Perhentian, Terengganu

Full time

RM 4,000 - RM 5,000 per month
- Supervise and lead the kitchen team, creating a positive and productive work environment.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to kitchen staff.
- Develop creative menus that align with current culinary trends, and regularly update them.
- Create promotional strategies and special menus to boost business, especially during low seasons.
- Monitor daily sales performance and implement strategies to achieve or exceed target sales set by management.
- Manage kitchen supplies, including ordering and maintaining adequate stock levels.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favourable terms.
- Minimize waste by regularly monitoring inventory and ensuring efficient stock rotation.
- Enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistency and high-quality food preparation.
- Ensure strict hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen, conducting regular inspections.
- Be available to work on public holidays and flexible with extra hours as needed.
- Live on the island, ensuring presence for daily operations and potential emergencies.

**Requirements**:

- Must be able to start on **2nd January 2025**.
- Experience working in island resort kitchen is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a busy kitchen environment.

Strong knowledge of ASEAN, Western, and Pizza cuisines, with the ability to prepare and oversee the production of high-quality dishes
