**Responsibility**

We are a **regional office** responsible for monitoring and supporting the performance of our agents across **Southeast Asia**. Our mission is to ensure all agents operate at their best with efficient, systematic, and professional support.

**Job Purpose**:
A Boarding Officer acts as the company’s representative at the port to coordinate and oversee all activities related to vessel arrivals, stays, and departures. The role ensures compliance with port regulations, smooth communication between ship and shore, and efficient handling of crew, cargo, and documentation.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Attend vessels upon arrival, berthing, and departure.
- Coordinate with port authorities, customs, immigration, quarantine, and terminal operators.
- Assist with inward/outward clearance of vessels and crew documentation.
- Deliver ship supplies, cash to master, mail, or spare parts as required.
- Ensure smooth communication between the ship’s master, crew, and the company/charterers.
- Arrange for pilotage, tugboats, stevedores, and other port services.
- Monitor cargo operations and report updates to principals/owners.
- Handle crew changes, medical assistance, shore passes, and repatriation.
- Submit reports on vessel movements, port activities, and any incidents.
- Ensure compliance with international, national, and local maritime regulations.
- Provide 24/7 support on vessel-related issues when on duty.
- Oversee and monitor the daily operations of agents across Southeast Asian countries
- Provide operational support including logistics, documentation, and internal systems
- Compile and analyze performance reports to identify areas for improvement
- Act as a liaison between HQ and regional agents
- Coordinate inter-departmental communications and ensure agent needs are met promptly
- Assist in resolving operational issues efficiently and professionally
- Support the implementation and compliance of company SOPs and policies

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Diploma/Degree in Shipping, Maritime Studies, Logistics, or related field (preferred).
- Prior experience in shipping agency, port operations, or maritime industry is an advantage.
- Knowledge of shipping regulations, customs, and immigration procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Problem-solving and multitasking abilities under pressure.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license (for boarding duties).

**Working Conditions**:

- Based at the port/harbor with frequent boarding of vessels (day and night).
- Requires physical fitness to climb gangways and move around vessels.
- Often involves long or irregular working hours depending on vessel schedules.
