JOB SUMMARY

Responsible to develop project CAPEX and OPEX while taking into consideration all relevant elements, wherever applicable, resulting into a feasible and competitive CAPEX/OPEX to meeting Client requirements.
Responsible to control and monitor project total expenditure including verifying and checking of invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors and subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditures are captured and properly recorded.
Develop costing / budgets / estimates based on inputs by way of ITB/ RFQ/MSQ/Inquiry from internal and external customers.
Provide analysis and recommendation (limited to costing and budget) proposals from external parties for the purpose of investment decision making by Management
Provide planning and cost controlling support for all projects undertaken which includes variation reporting, monitoring of milestone progress to the preparation of customer billing processes, etc
Ensure effective project implementation with the use of project management system to monitor the status of all purchases, invoicing and delivery up to the closure of the project.
Prepare monthly report for the monitoring of maintenance activities on a daily basis and register all downtime, consumptions and issues relating to the project promptly to the project manager and management.
Coordinate and work with the project team to resolve project issues to ensure the delivery/completion of the project work.
Attend project meetings and discussions with the project team and external clients.
Perform project costing related reporting to the team and management’s review on a monthly basis to ensure that expenditures are kept within the project budget.
Develop the project cost control reports to ensure the resources (budget) are efficiently and effectively used, to prevent cost overrun by inculcating cost savings initiatives in all aspects of construction activities.
Support and assist Finance Department to audit, manage and control project costing.
Willing to travel as and when instructed by the Company.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Finance with specialization in Project Management or Project Cost Control.
At least five (5) years relevant working experience in project estimating and cost controlling preferably in Petrochemical Ports or Offshore Construction or EPCIC industry.
Experienced in jetty and single point mooring project or maintenance is an additional advantage.
Good in developing and providing costing and budgets estimates based on inputs by way of ITB, market survey or inquiry from internal and external parties.
Sound experience in establishing and developing cost estimate for project CAPEX preferably in Petrochemical Ports or Offshore Construction or EPCIC industry.
Good experience in develop the project cost control reports to ensure that the resources (budget) are efficiently and effectively used, to prevent cost overrun.
Familiar with SAP planned maintenance and maintenance management.
