**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Supervision and Leadership:
- Lead and manage the maintenance team, including technicians, welders and fitters, to ensure the timely and efficient completion of maintenance tasks.
- Plan and schedule daily or routine maintenance activities, preventive maintenance, and repairs to reduce downtime and improve machine efficiency.
2. Preventive and Predictive Maintenance:
- Develop, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance programs to extend the life of equipment and reduce unexpected failures.
- Hands-on to conduct regular inspections and monitor the condition of machinery, identifying potential issues before they become critical.
3. Equipment and Facility Maintenance:
- Oversee the maintenance of all factory equipment, including kilns, mixers, conveyors, and other production machinery and to ensure the upkeep of factory facilities.
4. Troubleshooting and Repairs:
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and coordinate repairs promptly to minimize production downtime. Hands-on is expected.
- Collaborate with external vendors or contractors when specialized repairs or services are needed.
5. Spare Parts Management:
- Liaise with the procurement department to manage inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, ensuring availability for routine and emergency repairs.
- Work with procurement to source and order necessary parts, tools, and equipment.
6. Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions to mitigate hazards in the workplace.
7. Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes, reduce costs, and enhance equipment performance.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to increase overall factory efficiency and reliability.
8. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and downtime reports.
- Provide regular updates and reports to management on maintenance performance, costs, and issues.
9. Training and Development:
- Train and develop the maintenance team to enhance their skills and knowledge in troubleshooting and maintaining equipment.
- Ensure team members are familiar with and adhere to safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
10. Ad Hoc Tasks: To perform any ad hoc tasks related to the maintenance supervisor’s duties to be assigned by the management from time to time.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
1. Education: SPM or equivalent, diploma or Bachelor degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering or a related field.
2. Experience: At least 3 years and above of experience in maintenance with at least 2 years in supervisory role, hands-on experience. Preferably in a manufacturing or heavy industry environment.
3. Skills: Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills. Good troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify root causes of mechanical issues and implement effective solutions
4. Attributes: Self-motivated with a strong drive for results. Ability to work independently and as part of a Team. Adaptable and capable of thriving to shorten downtimes and work under pressure.
5. Mechanical drawings: Skill in creating mechanical and spare part drawings, as well as reading and interpreting technical manuals and blueprints.

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
