The position is responsible for the construction of assigned projects in the countries/regions within the Asia Area. Projects include new meetinghouses, additions, large replacements and improvements, and lease buildouts that provide places of worship where all feel loved and can build faith in Jesus Christ.
- Assist the Area Architecture, Engineering, and Construction Manager by implementing and completing the assigned design and construction projects.
- Ensure meetinghouse quality standards are maintained during design and construction.
- Ensure cost management is implemented by resource planning, cost estimating, budgeting, cost control, and project change management during design and construction.
- Prepare proper project schedules by analysing activity sequence, duration, and resources to ensure projects are completed per the established schedule.
- Provide effective project management support to local Church leaders by responding to questions and concerns within established boundaries in a timely manner.
- Participate in regular professional development to continuously improve professional competence.
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in construction management, engineering, or architecture related discipline. Professional license or membership in association with related profession is preferred.
- Possesses good people skills and has a demonstrated ability to manage people and multiple projects effectively.
- Strong leadership skills in managing internal and/or external project teams in an orderly manner from design start to project completion.
- Excellent communication skills working with all project parties, including local Church leaders, facilities managers, project team members, professional consultants, contractors, and local planning/building officials.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken, and ability to generate meaningful presentations and reports to local Church leaders and internal management. Ability to communicate in Chinese is advantageous.
- Willing and able to travel to manage projects in the countries/regions within the Asia Area.
