Production Assistant Manager

Develop, implement, and sustain a continuously improving EHS Program to achieve the goal of zero safety or environmental incidents while maintaining full compliance with EHS requirements.
- Practice Safe work habits in accordance with OSHA, EPA guidelines, and Bostik specific EHS expectations.
- Drive best in class 5S and housekeeping expectations.
- Oversee daily operations of the adhesive production and wwtp process, ensuring production schedules are met.
- Manage and supervise production staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste.
- Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present production reports, including performance metrics, downtime analysis, and productivity.
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation for compliance and auditing purpose.
- Lead site adherence to the Quality Management System and reduction in the cost of poor quality.
- Coordinate with Plant Manager to create the plant’s vision and growth strategies and execute the business and operations plans at the plant to achieve revenue, profit, and performance targets.
- Drive culture of root cause analysis using problem solving tools to minimize repeat issues.
- Work closely with Supply Chain to achieve the best On
- Time Delivery results while meeting the financial and inventory goals of the plant (s).
- Achieve the Manufacturing Expense Budget for the plant.
- Lead culture of continuous improvement in operation excellence. Identify and implement projects to generate cost savings (fixed costs, variable costs, cost of poor quality, and soft productivity improvements).
- Utilize lean six sigma tools to drive improvements in productivity of the site. Use of OEE (overall equipment efficiency) and VSM (value stream mapping) to drive productivity improvement.
- Assist small capex projects and executed by the plant team and participate in large capex projects as defined by the stage gate process.
- Communicate plant needs, roadblocks, successes to plant, business team and executive team.
- Foster an environment of continuous improvement where all associates are involved in the improvement process and there is constant interaction with plant leadership and associates on the floor.
- Coordinate with R&D to support new product introduction projects and product improvements.
- Prioritize plant issues based on operational and business priorities; provide clear direction to the team.
- Deliver plant goals through building collaborative and dynamic plant culture through engagement, team building and accountability across disciplines. Remove barriers and siloed thinking.

**Requirements**:

- Degree in engineering or equivalent with at least 3-5 years relevant working experience in a chemical unit operation.
- Good interpersonal communication skill
- Good leadership ability
- Good knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and Occupational Safety & Health Act 1994
- Able to read and interprets P&ID diagrams, drawings and specifications.
- Details, specific and hands-on in approach with good analytical skills.
- High commitment on execution, aggressive, dynamic and result oriented.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and work pressure with under tight schedule.

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM8,500.00 per month
