**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
1. **Food Preparation and Cooking**:
1. Prepare, cook, and present dishes within your specialty section, focusing on steak and related items.
2. Master various cooking techniques for different cuts of steak, including grilling and searing.
3. Follow recipes and presentation standards to ensure consistency and quality.
2. **Kitchen Management**:
1. Ensure kitchen crew follow company rules and SOPs.
2. Ensure mise-en-place is completed to a high standard and is ready for each section.
3. Arrange teamwork schedule and report to HOD weekly.
3. **Quality Control**:
1. Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain the restaurant’s standards.
2. Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented according to the restaurant’s recipes and specifications.
4. **Health and Safety / Cleanliness**:
1. Follow all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
2. Maintain a clean and organized workstation
3. Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and safely operated.
5. **Team Collaboration**:
1. Work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to develop new menu items.
2. Assist in training junior staff and apprentices.
3. Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving processes and service.
**6. Inventory and Ordering**:
- Complete required checklists (month-end stock count, steak chill list, staff meal, stock transfer list).
- Assist in the ordering and storage of kitchen supplies and ingredients.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Proven experience as a Demi Chef or similar role in a restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and practices.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Pay: From RM2,500.00 per month
