Government Affairs and Tender Manager

Essential Functions:
Government Affairs
- Develop and maintain relationships with government officials, regulatory bodies, and relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor and analyze government policies, regulations, and legislative developments affecting the company.
- Advise internal teams on government affairs strategies to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
Tender Management
- Lead the end-to-end tender process, including identifying tender opportunities, preparing documentation, and submitting proposals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for tender submissions.
- Ensure all tender documents comply with regulatory requirements and company standards.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage with government agencies, clients, and partners to understand their needs and expectations.
- Represent the company in meetings, forums, and industry events to enhance visibility and build relationships.
Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to ethical standards, legal requirements, and industry regulations in all government affairs and tender activities.
- Conduct periodic compliance assessments and provide recommendations for improvement.
Risk Management
- Identify and assess potential risks associated with government affairs and tender processes.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to protect the company's interests.
Strategic Planning
- Contribute to the development of strategic plans related to government affairs and tendering.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on market trends, opportunities, and potential challenges.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of government affairs and tender-related activities.
- Prepare regular reports on the status of ongoing government affairs initiatives and tender submissions.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in pharmacy, Public Health, Public Administration or a related field.
- Proven experience in government affairs, public relations, or tender management, preferably within pharmaceutical sector
- In-depth knowledge of Malaysian pharmaceutical government processes, regulations, and tendering procedures.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with compliance and risk management principles.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
