**THE OPPORTUNITY**

The GSS Internal Controls & Compliance (ICC) Specialist will work with a team of around 2 professional ICC colleagues in the GSS Kuala Lumpur Office. The Specialist will be responsible for managing internal control & compliance matters for the Tower(s) (Account to Report, Order to Cash, Source to Settle, Master Data workstreams) under his/her care in the KL Office. Additionally, the specialist will execute & test the delivery and assurance over controls structure to respective Tower(s) executed by the Office in Kuala Lumpur. Activities included but not limited to trainings, self-assessments, local audit supports, systems access controls, ad hoc request related to contents, support to external & internal auditors, participation in process improvement / standardization projects.

Organon was established as an independent company in June of 2021 and Organon GSS is now in the process of standing up our Kuala Lumpur Office. The ICC Specialist will be a key contributor in standing up ICC Operations. They will help to build a strong oversight on the controls executed in the Kuala Lumpur office. Concurrently, Organon is implementing its Global ERP SAP S/4 Hana platform and the GSS ICC team will assume a core role in supporting this implementation.

**Position Responsibilities**:
**ICC Process delivery**:

- Undertakes internal controls, compliance advisory and assurance activities including executing the CSA (self-assessment of internal controls) in either the AtR, OtC, PtP, (including MDM) workstream periodically and reporting of findings using structured tools and techniques
- Provide internal control expertise, advice and guidance including promoting awareness of risk management and control practices
- Assist Internal & External Auditors for SOX or Local Market Financial audits and document compilation
- Support the regional control alignment and the standardization over the Process Tower(s)
- Maintain complete and accurate standard operating procedures and related internal control documentation.
- Bring a process improvement focus, supporting implementation of best practices and a project management discipline.
- Support training, accuracy, and timely delivery of work outputs.
- Participate with process owners and other GSS Center colleagues to help identify opportunities to drive efficiencies through continuous improvement.

**Education & Experience**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; professional accountancy qualification or equivalent required
- Minimum of 4 years’ audit experience required, in governance, controls, audit, compliance, risk management preferably in MNC environment
- Business-level English language skills (speaking and writing) required. Mandarin an advantage.
- Experience working in a Big 4 or similar audit environment strongly preferred
- Experience working in a SOX 404 environment.
- Demonstrated strong math, query, analytical and systems skills with demonstrated experience in data management, MS Office.
- Experience working in an organization providing services across multiple markets or geographies.
- Experience with continuous process improvement projects
- Pays attention to details, produces accurate deliverables, and consistently meets deadlines.
- Good financial background with experience in accounting processes valued.
- Proactive style in implementing new processes.
- Experience using SAP R/3 required. Valued: experience with SAP S/4 HANA
