**General Responsibilities**

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) leads the organisation and takes responsibility of the management and administration of the College within the strategic and accountability frameworks established by the Board of Directors. The CEO shall provide leadership and overall direction and control in achieving the organization's philosophy, mission, strategy, and its annual goals and objectives.

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:
Overall Leadership and People Management
- Plan and direct the institution to achieve set targets and standards in terms of performance (financial or non-financial), quality, culture and legislative adherence;
- Develop and maintain organisational culture, values and reputation;
- Lead department heads to ensure effective management of the institution to promote smooth processes and efficient operation;
- Ensure that the organisation fulfils its constitutional, regulatory and legal obligations;
- Ensure the institution's mission, programmes, products and services are projected and presented in a strong and positive image to relevant stakeholders;
- Seek and suggest strategies to ensure sufficient resources for effective operation of the College;
- Develop strategies to monitor and mitigate risk exposure of any nature.

Board Administration and Support
- Identify, develop and direct the implementation of business strategies;
- Plan, develop, implement, evaluate and maintain long-term goals and missions to meet the organisational performance plans within the approved budgets and timescales;
- Report to shareholders/parent board on organisational plans and performance;
- Responsible to trustees for the overall financial health of the organisation.

Marketing, Promotion, Programme and Service Delivery
- Oversee the design, marketing and promotion of the programmes offered at Sunway College Kuching;
- Oversee the management of website, production of newsletters and other media for branding and marketing purposes;
- Ensure the quality of programmes and services delivered at the College.

Financial, Human Resource and Facilities Management
- Recommend yearly budget for Board's approval;
- Manage and control organisation's resources and expenditure within agreed budgets;
- Manage the human resources aspects of the organistion according to policies and procedures that fully conform to current laws and regulations.

**Requirements**:

- Possess a Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in any relevant field of studies;
- At least 10 to 15 years of related experience at a managerial position;
- Possess good strategic and analytical skills with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, in both written and verbal;
- Excellent leadership, management and organisation skills including the abilitiy to supervise and manage people, budgets, projects and activities;
- Knowledge of policies, practices and regualations that relate to the Higher Education sector.
