With the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Sustainable Development Goals, and the 12th Malaysia plan as our guides, we endeavor to change minds, change policies, and in turn change the lives of all children in Malaysia. **How can you make a difference?** - **Disability analysis**: support section leads with in-depth disability analysis linked to selected country programme outputs, sectoral or cross-sectoral programme components. The analysis should outline the disability norms present in Malaysia, identify barriers/bottlenecks to disability equality and as well as support section leads to develop actionable interventions that accelerate disability inclusion with programming. - **Capacity building/training**: support disability development building efforts in a variety of models, methods and materials delivered in multiple accessible formats and languages relevant to the Malaysia country context and enhance capacity for high quality disability inclusive programming, research, advocacy and communications, through coordination of training for UNICEF staff/implementing partners/contractors. - **Programme Support and Development**: support the provision of technical assistance and coordination to conceptualize and operationalize disability inclusive mainstreaming and targeting in MCO’s programming: Nutrition, Child Protection, Education, Adolescent Development and Participation (ADAP), Social Policy, Climate Action, Emergency, Social and Behaviour Change (SBC), Innovation, Private Sector Engagement (PSE), Disability and Gender. - **Partnership building**: support the development of partnerships with relevant organisations of persons with disabilities in Malaysia that can support selected country programme outputs, sectoral or cross-sectoral programme component and results. - **Knowledge Management**: support evidence generation and knowledge management through providing technical assistance in data collection and analysis, complete and accurate reporting as well as participation in various research and knowledge sharing of “lessons learned" / “promising practice” and other corporate platforms. Participate in the preparation of and making professional contribution to the preparation of programme reports, documentation of programming as required for MCO. - **Monitoring and evaluation**: Provide technical support to establish an effective plan to evaluate and monitor research and knowledge management activities. Work closely with the Programme Specialist (Gender and Disability) to analyze and evaluate data to ensure compliance and achievement of objectives and recommend corrective action, when necessary, to meet programme/project objectives - **Adopt and promote an intersectional approach**: work closely with the Programme Specialist (Gender and Disability) and other employees within the team to adopt, model, promote and support an intersectional approach (which includes but is not limited to disability, gender, diversity, equity and inclusion) within all objectives and work assignments outlined in the terms of reference. **To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have** - A university degree in one of the following fields: social sciences, public administration, international law, public health, international relations, business administration or other related disciplines. - A minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in programme planning, management, all aspects of disability and inclusion and/or research is required. - Specialized training/experience in project management and knowledge management highly desirable. - Experience working in UNICEF at a country programming level is considered as an asset. - Relevant experience in a UN system agency or organization is considered as an asset. - Fluency in English & Bahasa Malaysia is required.
