Underwriting Assistant

**Objectives**:
The Motor Underwriting Assistant will be essential in serving as the main point of contact for all intermediaries, ensuring efficient management and processing of motor insurance-related tasks. The incumbent will be responsible for handling new motor quotations, underwriting referrals, ensuring motor placements are in order, driving motor renewals, and handling all motor-related inquiries from intermediaries.

**Key Performance Indicators**:

- Timely and accurate handling of motor quotations and underwriting referrals.
- High customer satisfaction and positive feedback from intermediaries.
- Achieve the planned GWP, loss ratio and renewal ratio
- Handle all motor related enquiries.
- Efficient and effective motor new business and renewal processes.
- Compliance with underwriting guidelines, company policies and regulatory standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Serve as the primary contact for intermediaries, fostering strong, professional relationships and ensuring effective communication.
- Manage and process new motor insurance quotations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to underwriting guidelines.
- Handle underwriting referrals, assessing risks and coordinating with underwriters to facilitate decision-making.
- Ensure that all motor insurance placements are completed accurately and in compliance with company standards.
- Drive the motor renewal process, ensuring timely and smooth renewals and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Address all motor-related inquiries from intermediaries promptly and effectively, providing comprehensive support and solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and efficiency in motor underwriting processes.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 1 - 3 years of experience in motor insurance or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of motor insurance products and underwriting processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with intermediaries and internal teams.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Certification in Basic Insurance Concepts and Principles (BCP), Personal General Insurance (PGI), and Commercial General Insurance (ComGl) with the Singapore College of Insurance, is a plus.
