Commercial Bank International Relationship Manager

**JOB DESCRIPTION**
As a Relationship Manager Vice President, you will report into the Head of Commercial Bank International, South East Asia. This role is based in Kuala Lumpur covering subsidiaries of commercial bank clients.

This position in CBI Malaysia will manage J.P. Morgan's overall relationships with the Asian, European, and US subsidiaries of Commercial Bank clients globally to understand their challenges and align solutions to address them. The Malaysia CBI team helps our clients meet their objectives and challenges in working capital, cash management, Foreign Exchange and liquidity management. Clients benefit from dedicated coverage provided by the team, who deliver the firm's extensive product platform and presence in Malaysia.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop the business and manage relationships across the subsidiaries of our US, European and Asian clients operating in Malaysia
- Develop a strong portfolio of names and a robust pipeline through prospecting, identifying target opportunities, working closely with stakeholders and pitching for business.
- Develop an overall strategy for the business including coverage model, revenue growth, new business origination, and optimizing client returns
- Conduct comprehensive client analysis to identify business needs that align with JPMorgan's broad array of banking products
- Drive the development of forward looking business plans strategies for clients in conjunction with ongoing business relationship management
- Drive/build an optimized coverage model for the client franchise working and coordinating with the line of business partners such as Treasury Services, FX and other lines of business.
- Work closely with the team and stakeholders with an objective of delivering high levels of performance and client satisfaction
- Proactively build and drive collaborative firm wide relationships with product resources, credit, and other relevant partners
- Market and showcase CB client deals and success stories to the broader franchise in Malaysia
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations governing commercial banking activities
- Manage/meet the required regulatory deliverables for KYC including new business, remediation and renewal

**Required Qualifications, Capabilities and skills**:

- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or business field.
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience covering business development, relationship management & understanding of financial products.
- Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency and commitment, as well as a strong business sense with a strategic, conceptual and operational orientation.
- Strong background in Credit, Treasury Services, and flow FX products
- Strong influencing skills and proven track record of managing cross cultural environments
- Highest level of integrity and good judgment, with the ability to effectively deal with highly sensitive, confidential information.
- Excellent written and oral communication with fluency in English.

**Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and skills**:

- Master’s degree in a quantitative or business field is preferred.
- Established network or experience with handling commercial bank client subsidiaries in Malaysia is preferred.
- Having worked in a business development / relationship management role covering MNCs is a definite advantage and strongly preferred.
- Managerial skills/ experience of having led a team with strong leadership scores is a plus.
