As part of the Corporate Client Banking & Specialized Industries division within the Commercial Bank, you are responsible for originating, developing and managing relationships with public and private companies focusing on Malaysian home-grown clients segment. This group provides traditional corporate banking offering and products, as well as investment banking products to its clients. You will also work closely with our business partners include product specialists ranging from Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets, Mergers and Acquisition, Treasury Services, Risk Management and Private Banking in identifying and supporting needs and cross-selling opportunities.
As an experienced relationship manager, you are expected to be capable of driving business origination and growth independently, and have proven client relationship accesses, skills and ability to call upon at the senior management level. You need to have strong corporate finance, credit, and transaction execution skills, and have Investment Banking and or Corporate Banking knowledge and experience.
**Responsibilities**:
- Identify, pursue, and close sales opportunities for a broad range of financial products and services
- Manage complex, multi-product client relationships as the primary relationship manager
- Coordinate the sales and service efforts of multiple internal business partners.
- Proactively market clients and prospects; represent Corporate Client Banking & Specialized Industries Group in the local banking and business communities and develop a network of referral sources.
- Collaborate with the credit underwriting team on credit risk analysis, structuring, negotiation, and documentation of credit requests.
- Initiate and maintain strategic dialogue with clients and prospects to generate ongoing corporate finance, treasury services and credit opportunities.
- Strictly comply with all regulatory and JP Morgan Chase’s rules, policies, and procedures & represent our local banking practice.
**Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills**:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics or other related disciplines.
- Minimum of 8 years of prior experience within Corporate & Commercial Banking, Investment Banking, Markets and/or Treasury Services.
- Extensive experience as an outstanding Client Coverage / Relationship Manager marketing and selling corporate finance or corporate /commercial banking products and services.
- Knowledge of credit, corporate finance, treasury, investment banking, and other banking products; execution experience preferred.
- Strong leadership abilities in financial services sales and business development with solid credit, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and self-motivated, dependable.
**Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills**:
- Completion of a recognized bank credit training program or investment banking training program**.**
