**What you'll do**
- Lead and build people policy, process and programs, fixing root cause issues and recommending developments where necessary to help scale people operations to support a flexible global company appropriately
- Provide HR operational support for key Asian Markets to manage the entire employee lifecycle - including onboarding, contracts, visas, payroll, benefits, tax, ESOP, insurance, people movements (job changes/ employee transfers) and offboarding - whilst ensuring local compliance and ensuring a consistent employee experience
- Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to provide timely, accurate and appropriate advice on people processes and to manage changes/enhancements in people tools, systems and processes - stakeholders include but are not limited to employees, HRBPs, P&C central teams, Finance and payroll vendors
- Monitor cases and requests, provide direction and act as an escalation point for the Local People Operations community on exceptions, complex issues and cases that may require special handling
- Ensure transactional operations and record maintenance are accurate and efficient by executing or implementing regular quality checks on workflows for proper control and audit measures
- Manage accuracy and maintenance of key employee data. Champion data integrity and confidentiality; using people data to define and track key metrics to analyze program trends and effectiveness
- Ensure people operation SOPs, business processes and regulatory/compliance requirements are updated and documented
- Identify gaps or conflicts in existing processes and proactively monitor and measure internal control effectiveness, develop and own action items to remediate identified issues; with an aim to promote employee self-service where appropriate
- Facilitate and deliver of in-house training programs when necessary to ensure local teams are adequately trained
- Participate and provide key HR operational advice across various P&C programs and projects locally and globally which will bring positive impact to overall employee experience
**What you'll need**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or other related field and a minimum of 2 years of experience overseeing the execution of HR operations initiatives.
- 5 years experience in HR Generalist role in a shared service company
- People management experience
- A strategic mindset that can link strategy with operational requirements, while maintaining a hands-on approach in delivering operational HR services
- A proven ability to prioritise, manage time, meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Proven ability to build credibility with and gain commitment from key stakeholders
- Working knowledge of WorkDay would be an added advantage
- Experienced in managing multiple projects in a fast-paced enterprise, across different geographic locations. Knowledge of Asia local labour laws is a plus
- Strong communication skills in English. Mandarin (verbal/written) language skill is an advantage (to liaise with teams in China)
- Ability to routinely take initiative to identify issues and solve problems; thoroughly analyze information and make timely recommendations with mínimal supervision
- A start-up attitude - highly collaborative with an entrepreneurial, ‘roll-up-your sleeves’ attitude
- Happy to work independently when required
- Globally-minded and comfortable working with people from different cultural backgrounds and in different time zones
