**Responsibilities**:

- Able to design and create cutting-edge special effects, including particle effects, dynamic simulations and shader effects that meet project requirement
- Able to do pre-comp for the special effects created
- Keep up to date with the latest special effects techniques
- Work closely with teammates, team lead and other department’s team leads to ensure the visual effects of the animation is meeting the production requirements and quality consistently
- Understand the requirement of each shot in a project very well and able to create cutting-edge special effects according to the creative and technical aspects of the shots
- Assist senior on developing a special effects templates and library for the production
- Able to take part in art test for job pitching
- Able to multitask and complete tasks under tight datelines
- Able to create lighting & compositing setups and templates
- Able to work with wide range of special effects with mínimal direction
- Able to optimize FX data
- Able to QC own works as well as work of the artists in the team
- Assist superiors to in identifying artist’s strengths and weaknesses in the team
- Strong understanding of project’s complex workflows and able to help artists to resolve any workflow related issues.
- Accurately and calmly provide criticism and feedback to juniors with a positive attitude
- Able to instill passion, positivity, and trust among artists
- Able to motivate the team in pushing for higher productivity

**Job Requirements**:

- 5 to 6 years of notable experiences in creating seamless special effects for Feature Films, TV, and Games
- Strong knowledge in in Maya, Houdini, Realflow, and After Effects
- Experience with using 3DMax, FumeFx, PFX, Krakatao, Massive, Miarmy, Marvelous Designer, Nuke and other special effects tools
- Experience in scripting and tool development using MEL, Python, C++, Java, Hscript will be a plus
- Strong understanding of full CG development processes, different special effect techniques, and pipelines with strong analytical mind to transform abstract ideas into compelling effects.
- Strong technical knowledge in particle effects, dynamic simulation, and shader effects
- Strong knowledge of physics and natural phenomena
- Have cultivated aesthetic sense and an eye for details
- Strong knowledge of directory structure, file formats, naming conventions and automation tools
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Self-motivated, highly responsive, reliable, and flexible
- Excellent teamwork
