Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur, Mont Kiara
- will mark the first Hyatt House hotel in Malaysia and South East Asia. Located in Mont’ Kiara, an affluent suburb located five kilometres from downtown Kuala Lumpur, the hotel will feature approximately 298 guestrooms, a three-meal restaurant, 3,100 square feet of meeting space, a fitness centre, and a sky pool. Scheduled to open in late 2017, the hotel will be part of a larger mixed use development, Arcoris Mont’ Kiara, which will feature business suites, small home offices (“SoHo”), residential units, and a retail plaza.

We are currently looking for an experienced _Hotel Manager
- Guest Services _to join us in this exciting journey.

This position reports to the hotel General Manager.

You will be a leader that thrives and excels in managing the divisions that have direct face to face daily interaction with our guests. (Front Office, Restaurants, Bars and Event Space). As a member of the hotel’s senior management team, the Hotel Manager
- Guest Services, is a highly visible role with exposure to Senior and Corporate leadership. Your priority will be to ensure the high service standards of Hyatt are met at all times and ensure that we care for our guests so they can be at their best.

An individual with an entrepreneurial spirit and a prominent member within the industry, you will be confident and driven in your approach. You are business savvy and are known for your ability to communicate and negotiate at all levels, are detail orientated and must be able to constantly maintain high service standards and problem-solve with employees and guests. Must be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and be constantly hands on and ready to lend expertise within other departments of the hotel.

**Key Qualifications and requirements**:

- Demonstrate a passion and proven results for coaching and leading hotel team members to achieve team success
- Demonstrate an ability to use Management Reporting Systems in order to make fact based decisions that makes commercial sense and which will benefit the profitability and efficiency of the hotel
- Demonstrate proven experience in overseeing the operations of a club floor or restaurant within a hotel
- Previous hotel experience with hotel properties or serviced residences that have over 230 rooms will be preferred due to the complexity of the guest service process. Previous hotel pre-opening experience in front office and rooms division, will be a significant added advantage
- Possess a Degree or Diploma in Tourism or Business or Hospitality
- Advance working experience with PMS systems (Opera, Reserve, GEM ) will be required for this role, including the use of tools that aid in focusing on guest need
- A minimum of 6 years or more work experience in a senior role within an international chain hotel room division and have led a team of room division associates.
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia. The ability to converse in other languages will be an added advantage
- Demonstrate the ability to manage and lead hotel on-site accounting functions to ensure proper fiscal management, timely and accurate reporting and analysis for the hotel. This responsibility also includes hotel financial planning, budgeting, accounting and cash management
- Demonstrate a flair to review all monthly and annual financial statements. Investigate, review and analyze the variance explanations, with the ultimate aim of managing division expenses.
- Demonstrate the ability to have a sound understanding of the sales system and demonstrate commercial sense in order to increase revenue from guest contact areas within the hotel.
