Our Finance department is a fundamental part of Doctor Anywhere and plays a pivotal role in ensuring the company's financial stability. We are responsible for advising management on financial decisions that have a far reaching impact on the company's future.

**About the role**

We are seeking an **Accountant **who will be supporting day-to-day accounting.

This role is based in **Malaysia** and reports directly to the** Assistant Manager, Finance** at the Singapore Head Office

**A summary of the key responsibilities are as follows**:

- Ensure proficiency and effectiveness in managing the day-to-day operations of the Finance team, and the full spectrum of the accounting functions (AP, AR, GL) to ensure timely and accurate preparation of statutory, monthly management reporting and consolidation. Working closely with the other Operations teams (locally and regionally) to ensure data accuracy, smooth operations, and timely escalations of issues to the Assistant Finance Manager (AFM)
- Manage, improve & develop financial accounts procedures and administration in compliance with company’s policies
- Contributes to safeguarding company assets through the maintenance of appropriate controls while supporting the AFM in determining appropriate accounting treatment for various situations
- Undertake the year end audit process - being a central point of contact for all audit queries; ensuring the approaches adopted are appropriate and that issues raised are resolved expediently; ensuring that all parties are kept informed of the status; and ensuring timely clearance for approving the accounts
- Identify, discuss and suggest solutions in consultation with the management for continuous improvement opportunities in the areas of operation
- Any other ad hoc duties assigned when appropriate

**About you**
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance or ACCA graduate
- Professional accounting qualification i.e. CA or CPA is preferred
- Minimum 6 years of experience in similar capacity, prior experience in the Big 4 and/or healthcare industry will be an added advantage
- Knowledgeable and experienced in accounting principles and practices, financial reporting, audit and taxation
- Meticulous, independent, proactive, responsible, able to multitask and meet tight deadlines
- Unquestioned integrity and high standards in the work you do
- A good team player with high level of maturity and independence
- Proficient in oral and written English and Malay language. Additional languages are an added bonus.
- A start-up attitude - you take full ownership of things that you do, willing to go out of your comfort zones and take on new challenges.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and flexible to learn new things - we’re not done growing, and heading into uncharted territories is part of the fun
