To supervise the overall operations of logistics & distribution unit particularly staffs, processes, assets, transportation schedule, routes, maintenance, upkeeps, purchases, documents, record, filing and internal/external stakeholders. - Plan, schedule and optimize the driver and driver’s assistant task assignment, usage of truck and routes of transportation (delivery and collection) required so the delivery or collection can be completed in timely manner and cost-efficient. - Supervise the process of loading/ unloading of items from warehouse to truck/ from truck to warehouse performed by warehouse personnel, driver and driver assistant. Ensure the items are secured properly, and arranged orderly and efficiently for each drop / pick up location. - Check documents required for each delivery or pick up and ensure the document and items are corresponding to each other. Ensure each document is properly handed over and returned by driver accordingly. - Oversee daily activities of logistics & distribution team and provide direction and guidance as needed. - Ensure the correctness of delivery/collection info and proper communication is made between the driver and the person in charge of receiving or pick up for efficient delivery or pick up. - Track and trace regularly the current location of truck and route used via GPS program/app and be aware of the timing of each delivery or collection completed. - Arrange and supervise subordinates’s work schedule, leave, attendance, rest/ lunch time, and overtime claim. Maintain discipline of team members in Logistics & Distribution unit. - Ensure driver conducts pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the overall vehicle and the vehicle is functioning properly in accordance with health and safety requirements before each trip. - Keep odometer reading record of each vehicle before and after trip completed. - Ensure truck and driver compliance with health and safety laws, standards, rules and regulations of local and statutory authority applicable. Regularly perform vehicle inspection. - Ensure logistics requirements such as toll card, fuel card, tools, equipment, etc are available for operation. - Ensure drivers drive the vehicles safely, do not damage the vehicle, and do not get any ticket, violation, or any roadside suspension. Ensure driver is responsible for the cost of vehicle or other assets damage or ticket caused by own fault. - Ensure each driver is responsible for maintaining proper cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the vehicle. Ensure driver cleans the vehicle, at a minimum, once a week. - Arrange and ensure truck sent for service maintenance, repair, claim and statutory body inspection (Puspakom, JKKP, etc), accordingly.
The business components for Integrated Farming include cash crops, paddy and rice, animal nutrition and protein, livestock and dairy farming. Under the FGV’s Integrated Farming blueprint, initiatives to be carried out in 2020 include: - Developing business model FGV Agro Farmers and contract farming schemes for cash crops and rice and paddy. - Animal Feed expansion - to R & D and create more new PKE and non-PKE based feed pelletized. Dairy cattle pellet (DCP) and goat’s pellet are the two new formulation that is targeted to be launched in 2020. - Venture into Dairy Cattle - will lead developing premium animal feed, utilisation of our Logistics in transportation and storage, incorporating the usage of molasses in our feed and leveraging the distribution network from our downstream.
