**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the preparation and presentation of dishes according to standard recipes and hotel guidelines.
- Ensure that all food produced complies with halal requirements at all stages of preparation, handling and storage.
- Monitor portion control, waste reduction and efficient use of ingredients.
- Report and rectify any issues related to non-compliance with halal standards.
- Support kitchen leadership during busy periods and assist with training commis and kitchen helpers.
- Coordinate with the Halal Committee and relevant bodies for audits, inspections and documentation as needed.
- Maintain accurate records for halal certification and food traceability.
- Ensure compliance with hotel SOPs and local health regulations.

**Requirements**:

- Experience as a Demi Chef or Commis I in a hotel or restaurant.
- Possess a valid **Halal Executive Certificate** recognized by JAKIM or relevant authority.
- Knowledge of halal food handling, kitchen operations, and food safety standards.
- Good communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Culinary qualification or equivalent is an added advantage.
- Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Fresh graduate

Pay: RM2,300.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
