Commis

Follow instructions from senior chefs and maintain kitchen standards.

Assist in the preparation and basic cooking of dishes.

Perform daily mise en place and prep work.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations.

Practice proper food handling, storage, and hygiene procedures.

Learn and develop cooking techniques and kitchen skills.

Support the Chef de Partie in managing a specific kitchen section.

Prepare and cook dishes to a consistent standard.

Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation guidelines.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Assist with stock rotation, labeling, and food storage.

Uphold kitchen hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards.

Job Responsibilities:

Assist kitchen staff with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting ingredients.

Ensure kitchen cleanliness by washing dishes, utensils, and maintaining hygiene standards.

Support chefs in basic cooking tasks as needed.

Store food items properly and monitor stock levels.

Dispose of waste and keep the kitchen organized.

Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.

Requirements:

No prior experience required; training will be provided.

Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.

Able to work as a team and follow instructions.

Punctual, responsible, and hardworking.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2, RM2,800.00 per month
