Financial Relationship Manager

A financial relationship manager is a client-facing professional responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients by understanding their financial needs, providing personalized advice on investment strategies, managing their portfolio, and identifying new business opportunities to generate revenue, all while acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring client satisfaction within the guidelines of regulatory compliance.
Key responsibilities:
- **Client Acquisition and Relationship Building**:
- Identify and prospect potential high-net-worth clients through networking and outreach.
- Conduct initial consultations to understand client financial goals, risk tolerance, and investment objectives.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and proactive engagement.
- **Financial Planning and Advice**:
- Analyse client financial situations and recommend suitable investment strategies, including portfolio diversification.
- Present investment options, explaining risks and potential returns clearly.
- Monitor market trends and adjust client portfolios accordingly.
- **Portfolio Management**:
- Execute investment transactions based on client instructions and approved strategies.
- Track portfolio performance and provide regular updates to clients.
- Manage client accounts to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- **Cross-Selling and New Business Development**:
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional financial products and services aligned with client needs.
- Refer clients to other internal departments for specialized services when necessary.
- Actively seek new business leads and referrals to expand client base.
- **Compliance and Risk Management**:
- Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards related to client accounts and investment activities.
- Conduct due diligence on potential clients and investments to mitigate risk.
- Report any suspicious activity to relevant authorities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- You must have a minimum of Five (5) years of proven and progressive wealth sales experience or equivalent.
- Required language(s): English, Malay, knowing Mandarin is an advantage
- Strong understanding of financial markets, investment products, and economic trends
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients
- Proven sales and relationship management experience
- Analytical skills to assess client needs and develop tailored financial plans
- Ability to manage a portfolio of clients effectively
- You must have a strong understanding of financial planning fundamentals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- You must have an ability to build strong relationships with clients.
- Proven track record in sales and customer service
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
