**SITE SAFETY SUPERVISOR (SSS) - Scope of Work**

**Project Site**: FRI Pulau Sayak, Kedah
**Contract Type**: JKR Government Project
**Reporting to**: Project Manager / Safety & Health Officer (SHO) / Superintending Officer (S.O.)

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Site Safety Supervision**:

- Conduct daily safety inspections on the construction site.
- Ensure all work activities comply with the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA 1994) and Factories and Machinery Act (FMA 1967).
- Monitor compliance with JKR safety specifications and project-specific Safety & Health Plan (S-Plan).
- **Safety Documentation & Reporting**:

- Assist in preparing and submitting:

- Monthly Safety & Health Reports (as required by Appendix A/6).
- Daily incident reports and statistics (accidents, near misses, etc.).
- Safety checklists, tool-box meeting records, and hazard logs.
- Keep records of all safety-related incidents and actions taken.
- **Implementation of Safety & Health Plan (S-Plan)**:

- Ensure S-Plan is implemented effectively on-site.
- Participate in hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk control (HIRARC).
- Enforce hygiene, pest control, site cleanliness, and fogging where necessary.
- **Coordination & Communication**:

- Coordinate with Safety and Health Officer (SHO) if present.
- Liaise with subcontractors and workers on safety-related matters.
- Conduct safety inductions for new workers and enforce CIDB green card requirements.
- **Emergency Preparedness**:

- Ensure proper emergency response procedures are in place.
- Inspect and maintain fire extinguishers and first aid equipment on-site.
- Conduct mock drills and site evacuation exercises as directed.
- **Compliance Monitoring**:

- Monitor and enforce use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Ensure proper signage, barriers, hoardings, and fencing are installed.
- Ensure machinery, scaffolding, and access platforms are in safe condition.
- **Site Cleanliness & Environmental Safety**:

- Monitor the tidiness of the site and waste management.
- Ensure compliance with environmental quality standards (refer Appendix A/7 - e.g., noise, dust, vibration, water pollution control).
- **Minimum Requirements**:

- Registered Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) with **DOSH (Department of Occupational Safety & Health)**.
- Minimum 3 years experience in construction site safety (preferably in government/JKR projects).
- Able to work on-site in Kedah **minimum 15 hours per week**, as per contract requirements.
- Good knowledge of OSHA, HIRARC, S-Plan, and construction safety best practices.

**Job Type**: Contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
