**Job Summary**

Assist the Human Resources Manager in creating an effective and efficient operation of Training Department.

**What will I be doing?**

As an Assistant Training Manager, he/she is responsible to coordinate and manage the implementation of hotel training in line with Hotel Policy & Procedure. Develop and maintain training resources and implement systems that promote growth and development and to ensure that the promises were delivered to all stake holders. Hence, he/she must perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

- Develop training policies as required.
- Develop and monitor annual and monthly training budget.
- Conduct needs analysis with department managers to assess specific learning needs.
- Conduct training such as Orientation, brand education, English training, customer service programs, supervisory and management skills programs, and other programs trained by MHI.
- Coordinate training programs with external consultant as necessary.
- Develop Departmental Trainers System by conducting Train-the-trainer program, monthly training plan and report system, etc.
- Conduct monthly departmental trainer meeting.
- Sit-in departmental training sessions and give feedback to departmental trainers.
- Develop and monitor Best Trainer Award system.
- Monitor and oversee all departmental learning programs including, Departmental Orientation, FLHSS (Fire Life Health Safe Security), etc.
- Develop and present Annual and Monthly Training Plan and Calendar.
- Recruit and monitor student trainees and management trainees, either from Local and/or International Universities/Colleges according to annual plan.
- Monitor and control training resources.
- Maintenance of attendance records and other documentation related to the Learning & Development efforts.
- Maintain creative training notice boards.
- Observe and appraise colleague performance during sessions, providing feedback to management which would facilitate improvements in accordance with MHI standards regarding product and performance.
- Support all efforts to enliven our Company’s Mission, Guiding Principles and Legendary Quality Experiences throughout the hotel leading by example and serving as a role model.
- Ensure security and confidentiality of all information throughout the hotel.
- Plan and conduct meetings with EXCO members, department managers, departmental trainers, and rest of colleagues to review performance trends, develop action plans and give recognition.
- To comply with Hotel’s Rules and Regulation & to perform all other duties than the above requested by the Hotel’s Management, the Company and/or his/her direct Superior.

**Requirements**:

- Diploma or Degree holder in Human Resources Management would be an advantage
- **Must be fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia**. Able to converse in other languages would be an added advantage
- **2 years** experience as a Training Executive or in a similar position in large hotels or in an international company
- Fully COVID-19 vaccinated **(maximum of 2 doses)**:

- Knowledge of different departments within a hotel setting.
- Must possess ability to coordinate with multiple tasks
- Knowledge of how to develop training programs and creative
- Problem solving and Action Plan formulation
- Customer-oriented and friendly
- Confident and motivated
- Team-working skills
- Good communication and social skills
- Willingness to learn and progress
- Have a genuine “Yes I Can” attitude
- Able to work under pressure with tight deadline

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From RM3,500.00 per month

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff and guest are encourage to wear face mask upon entering and exiting the hotel. Daily and weekly sanitization at the common areas and offices.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Kuala Lumpur: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

License/Certification:

- Train-The-Trainer Certified by HRDF (preferred)
