**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
1. Responsible to ensure all related statutory requirements and compliance to Occupational Safety & Health Act 1994 as a competent person SHO representing Avisena Women's & Children's Specialist Hospital.

3. Keep up to date with changes in current legislation and to bring to the attention of the top management responsible for Health and Safety any relevant new legislation.

4. Attend such courses/seminars run by external sources to enable accurate interpretation of legislation to enable implementation within the organization.

5. Ensure that all assessments as required by legislation are conducted and reviewed at relevant intervals and to maintain records of the same.

6. Ensure that all assessments as required by BOMBA are conducted and records shall be maintained in relation to the provision of Fire Services Act & Regulations.

7. To recommend control measures and advise on the standard of P.P. E. issued to employees.

8. Conduct health and safety inspections and prepare reports of all the company's operations.

9. Immediately contact the top management responsible for health and safety if situations are found, that in the opinion of the top management, require immediate rectification or the stopping of any operation.

10. To notify the top management responsible for health and safety if the corrective action agreed after any workplace inspection is not implemented by the arranged date.

11. To carry out investigations into all accidents and near-miss incidents and to record the findings on the relevant forms.

12. To facilitate OSH & Environment surveillance as instructed.

13. To highlight areas where training/certification is required to meet the standards imposed by Legislation, Approved Codes of Practice, or Safety, Health & Environment guidance.

14. To bring new techniques for improving health, safety and welfare to the attention of the top management responsible for health and safety.

15. To set a personal example by wearing appropriate personal protective clothing/equipment and observing all safety requirements/procedures.

16. Responsible in compliance on Schedule Waste Management in Avisena and Monitor all related Schedule Waste Management according to Environmental Quality Act 1974.

17. Performs other related duties as assigned by HOD / Director.

**ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION**:
Diploma or Higher (Certified Safety Health Officer is an added advantage)

**SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**:
1. Minimum 2 years experiences

2. Has some amount of exposure in safety services.

3. Good interpersonal skills, communication skills, both written and verbal.

4. PC Literate.

Ability to interact and collaborate with local law enforcement.

**Salary**: From RM2,500.00 per month
