Occupational Health Nurse

**E. Key Responsibilities (Essential duties and required skills, listed in order of priority)**
**Patient Care**
- Provide clinical consultations and deliver high-quality medical care to patients attending the clinic.
- Maintain continuity of care through proper follow-up and appropriate referrals.
- Contribute to preventive healthcare initiatives, including executing medical screening services.
- Ensure competent delivery of healthcare services in line with International SOS standards.
- Support effective patient triage and clinic flow management.
- Liaise with International SOS Assistance Centres and Coordinating Doctors to facilitate patient evacuation procedures when necessary.
**Quality Assurance & Administration**
- Collaborate with the Chief Medical Advisor to maintain quality standards and achieve desired clinical outcomes.
- Adhere to the Medical Services escalation protocol for all managed cases.
- Consult with Assistance Centres before prescribing any medications.
- Maintain accurate and compliant medical documentation and patient records in accordance with International SOS clinic protocols.
- Assist in managing and maintaining clinic medical equipment and supplies.
- Implement a self-audit system to ensure clinic performance and service delivery standards.
- Report clinic utilization data using standard templates.
- Conduct self-audits using approved tools, identify performance gaps, and develop corrective action plans with the Assistant Operations Manager.
- Prepare the clinic for formal audits by sustaining high compliance scores.
**Promotion of International SOS Services**
- Represent International SOS professionally in all interactions.
- Promote a culture of Continuous Quality Improvement within the clinic.
- Support client engagement by promoting International SOS medical services.
- Participate in public health, disease prevention, and wellness programs initiated by International SOS.
**Occupational Health, Safety & Environment (OHS&E)**
- Abide by all OHS&E policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Foster and promote a strong OHS&E culture on-site.
- Actively participate in OHS&E programs and contribute to the achievement of company safety goals and KPIs.
- Maintain accountability for safety and health matters in the workplace.
**OH&S Responsibilities**
- Help develop and maintain a safe work environment.
- Complete all mandatory OH&S training.
- Follow all reasonable safety-related policies and procedures.
- Support management in meeting legal safety obligations.
- Ensure own safety and that of colleagues.
- Report injuries, hazards, or illnesses promptly to supervisors.
**Additional Responsibilities**
- Act as a medical escort during evacuations, when necessary.
- Raise awareness about first aid and CPR among site employees.
- Implement and monitor emergency medical response plans.
- Uphold and promote International SOS policies, values, and procedures.
- Contribute to the continuous development and improvement of services.
- Administer Drug and Alcohol testing per the approved SOPP and client referrals.
- Supervise ambulance driver’s tasks and ensure vehicle safety and readiness.
- Provide emergency/trauma support alongside site medics.
- Report unsafe acts and conditions observed at the worksite.
- Attend HSE meetings when required.
**F. Job Profile**
**Mandatory Certifications & Registration**
- Current Annual Practicing Certificate from the Nursing or Medical Assistant Board.
- Valid OHN certification from NIOSH.
- Familiarity with local regulatory requirements regarding safety and health.
- Up-to-date medical exam and immunization records.
**Required Skills & Knowledge**
- Certification in ACLS, ITLS, or equivalent.
- Sound understanding of clinical medical practices.
- Experience in both primary healthcare and emergency medicine.
- Possession of any additional certifications required by PMC or relevant regulations.

**Medical Care**
- Provide medical care for illnesses and trauma cases.
- Ensure proper documentation, including PCR, MAL, etc.
- Communicate with Assistance Centre as needed and submit required documents (e.g. NOC, ECGs, photos).
- Notify client reps/supervisors of all trauma/work-related cases.
- Coordinate with AC for escalations per SOS procedures.
- Assist with emergency disembarkation arrangements.
