**Responsibilities**:

- Responsibilities:
- Responsible for sourcing, price negotiation, price tender and costing
- Responsible for planning and forecasting of material requirements along with the management of slow and obsolete goods
- To develop strategies and tactics for improving operational costs and managing inventory level to reduce stock holding costs
- Ensure on time-delivery and take control of issues regarding quality, quantity, storage and claims
- Maintain purchasing records/ data and pricing in system
- Ensure all process are in accordance and comply with Company's Policies and Procedures
- Conduct thorough evaluation and audit on vendors for quality and food safety compliance
- To liaise with transporters. forwarders, custom department and other government agencies in relation to importation/ exportation requirement
- To assist in implementing all policies, guidelines and procedures as required by JAKIM and ISO 22000:2005
- Collaborate with key persons to ensure company's objectives are met
- To fully manage the operating budgets and strict monitoring on expenditures
- To fulfill any other task assigned by management
- To manage & responsible for procurement Department as Head of Department
- To manage procurement relating adhoc task
- To manage & responsible for superior instruction
- To coach & train staff & managers
- To develop procurement department performance
- To strengthen the procurement team, and establish & optimize department role
- To enhance continuous improvement with team

Special Skills:
- Customer oriented, mature and able to work independently
- Good interpersonal skills and attention to details is vital
- IT literacy with adequate proficiency in MS Office Excel and Inventory system
- Ability to communicate in Japanese is an added advantage
- Importation / Exportation experience

**Requirements**:
- Preferably Manager specializing in Purchasing/ Inventory & Warehouse Management/ Import & Export management
- Self-motivated, positive and good working attitude with strong analytical or numerical skills
- Good communication skills and written in both English and Bahasa Malaysia
- At least 5 years working experience in the related field is required for this position
- Possess strong negotiation skills and leadership capabilities
- Possess own transport and willing to travel
