**Job Description**:
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly numerate data analyst with strong analytical, statistical and project management skills to join Informa Tech’s centralised Market Forecasting team (within MDAM).

For this role you will be expected to:

- Develop models using predictive analytics and other forecasting techniques for metrics such as subscribers, devices and access technologies in the TMT industry.
- Carry out research and provide detailed analysis of key metrics for trend analysis of market and technology developments.
- Work closely with industry analysts to understand market dynamics.
- Collaborate with data engineers to source, extract and transform data ready for data exploration and modelling
- Hypothesis testing and summarising key trends using BI tools
- Provide client support through timely and clear communication
- Assist in bespoke research projects
- Comfortable with a 12 months fixed term contract.

Qualifications**
Key Skills and Competencies**
**Essential**
Analytical programming experience in Python/R as well as querying data using SQL
- Strong working knowledge of data visualisation tools like Power BI and Tableau
- Advanced Excel skills including a working knowledge of VBA
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Highly analytical, data-driven and detail oriented
- Relevant degree in computer science, business, economics, statistics or mathematics-based degree
- Strong understanding and awareness of the influence of economic factors on market development
**Desirable**
- Knowledge of the telecoms and media industries
Knowledge of producing written research on topics such as trend analysis, forecasting assumptions and methodologies
- Experience of working with Alteryx, AWS Glue & Athena
