The Kitchen Equipment Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial kitchen appliances and systems, including gas, electric, and refrigeration equipment. The technician ensures all kitchen equipment operates efficiently and safely to support uninterrupted food service operations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair a variety of commercial kitchen equipment including ovens, dishwashers, refrigerators, freezers, grills, fryers, mixers, and steamers.
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions and determine appropriate repairs or replacements.
- Perform preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and ensure equipment longevity.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical components of appliances.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Ensure all equipment is compliant with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Maintain accurate records of service, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff and management to schedule repairs and minimize operational disruption.
- Order parts and manage supplies related to equipment maintenance.
- Provide emergency/after-hours service as needed.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in appliance repair or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in kitchen equipment maintenance and repair (commercial setting preferred).
- Strong understanding of gas, electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration systems.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic devices.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Valid driver’s license (if travel between job sites is required).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for long periods.
- Work in environments with heat, noise, or cramped spaces.

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM3,800.00 per month

Schedule:

- Day shift

Supplemental Pay:

- Commission pay
- Performance bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Paka: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
