At Qra, we take pride in our offering fresh poultry, meat and seafood as well as a range of Qra gourmet sausages, patties and marinated meats. Our butchery team enable us to do so by masterfully sectioning wholesale meats into the right cuts, displaying it in effectively and engaging customers with good recommendations.

The day-to-day responsibilities revolve around providing high quality meat and service for our customers. This includes:

- Cutting, grinding, and preparing meats and other related products (e.g sausages and marinated meats) for sale.
- Receive and inspect deliveries of meat to ensure that they adhere to the highest quality standards and are not expired.
- Ensure FIFO (First in First Out) and FEFO (First Expiry First Out) principles are applied in the cold room and normal chiller display through daily inspection on the expiry dates and freshness of the products.
- Weighing, packaging, pricing, and displaying products.
- Performing quality inspections on meats and other products.
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the butchery section, storage area and equipment to ensure adherence to food safety, sanitation controls and company SOPs.
- Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment.
- Monitor the temperature of the refrigerator and updating the temperature sheet on daily basis to ensure it is at the correct temperature.
- Greeting and speaking to customers, providing advice, answering questions, and accepting orders.
- Coordinating deliveries or order pickups.

**; Requirements**:
- Any basic formal education or food preparation or meat cutting experience is an added bonus
- You also need to be able to use hand tools, stand or walk for extending periods, lift heavy items, and work in cold environments. Having a strong communication, task management, and customer service skills will also take you a long way here.
- Finally but most importantly, you must have the grit and resilience to learn.
