**JOB BRIEF**

The Dean of Information Technology is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the IT department within an educational institution. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and strategic planning to ensure that the institution's IT infrastructure and systems support its academic and administrative needs.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**:

- Provide educational and academic leadership for excellence in teaching, learning and research within the University’s philosophy and environment.
- Direct, manage, supervise, and coordinate the programs, activities and academic including research affairs of the responsible faculty.
- Exercise direct supervision over professional, technical and clerical staff. Coordinate assigned activities with other faculties, divisions and outside agencies.
- Provide highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Academic.
- Ensure the faculty achieves the annual research publications target.
- Ensure publication of at least one (1) personal research paper annually

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Doctoral degree in a relevant field, such as Information Technology or Computer Science.
- Professorship in Information Technology field with minimum 5 years in managerial role.
- Significant experience in IT management, with a proven track record of leadership and strategic planning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Knowledge of educational technology trends and best practices.

Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
