Why does this job exist and why is it critical?

This person will be responsible for the Maxis Procurement Data Analytics program and strategy execution to support the platform for analytics functions to the Maxis Procurement Operations.

Expectation to design and construct new processes for data modelling and production using predictive modelling, custom analysis or prototypes as necessary.

You will develop the short to mid term Procurement Analytic Strategy with Procurement Analyst specialist while working closely with Category Heads, Head of Procurement, Internal Stakeholders, Suppliers and Partners to identify best practices to pursue analytics excellence and maturity. You will play a key role in the engagement with external strategic solution providers that is crucial for success of the Procurement Analytics program

What are you accountable for?
- Develop a short to mid term procurement analytic strategy, design and plan initiative for its implementation across the procurement department and partner with internal stakeholders on strategic procurement initiatives.
- Develop and implement workflows for the acquisition, cleansing and transformation of data to drive visualisations, dashboard, reports and presentations.
- Ensure effectiveness and accuracy of procurement analytic initiatives to ensure deadlines are met whilst maintaining a high standard of analysis and business insight.
- Support Maxis category teams through provision of benchmarking analysis, modelling by keeping up with external market trends on category profiles and commodity offering.
- Design and maintain the work flows for data visualisation, dashboard reporting, and balance score cards for the identified KPIs and progress reporting.
- Data warehousing, business intelligence platforms and exploring AI techniques as relevant or necessary
- Responsible for the overall Procurement financial reporting

What do you need to have for this role?- Bachelors Degree in: Computer or Data Science, Statistic or Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Engineering, Accountancy and/or Finance- Total working experience above 1 year however TOP fresh grads will be considered as well.- Preferably 1 years proven experience gained in a commercial environment and demonstrated confidence in handling large, complex and multi-sourced data to provide actionable insight and advanced analytics.- Creative and Analytical Thinking- Experience in data models and reporting packages- Data Visualization- Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence Platforms- Interprets data and turns it into information which can offer ways to improve a business, thus affecting business decisions- Gather information from various sources and interpret patterns and trends- Reporting the results back to the relevant members of the business- Working alongside teams within the business or the management team to establish business needs- Defining new data collection and analysis processes- Possesses procurement background and strong analytical skills- Familiar with Procurement support systems such as Ivalua/ SAP/ or similar procurement platforms will be a plus.- Extensive user of MS Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint- Ability to present business cases and challenge status quo- Positive can - do approach capable to deal with ambiguity and attention to detail at the same time- Personal traits: Positive, Passionate, Collaborative, A self-starter, ability to perform under pressure in a challenging environment and a team player- Ability to analyse large datasets- Ability to compile and present comprehensive reports based on gathered data
