We’re now looking for a People Business Partner - APAC to partner closely with the Model Shop in Malaysia, managing the full employment lifecycle. You will join Merlin Magic Making and support our Corporate functions across the region.

**About the Role**

As a trusted People Partner, you’ll play a key role in driving our people agenda across APAC. From partnering with leaders on workforce planning and organisational design, to ensuring a smooth employee experience throughout the lifecycle, you’ll be at the heart of shaping how we support and develop our teams.

You’ll also:

- Partner closely with the Model Shop in Malaysia, managing the full employment lifecycle
- Partner with APAC business leaders to deliver a people roadmap aligned to Merlin’s global strategy
- Manage the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding through to offboarding
- Provide advice on employee relations, recruitment, performance management and talent development
- Ensure compliance with local labour laws and regulations
- Lead payroll processes locally and ensure accurate employee records
- Produce monthly people metrics (turnover, absence, engagement) and drive action where needed
- Support employee engagement initiatives - from recognition programmes to our annual Culture Survey
- Collaborate with global People teams to localise and implement people initiatives that work for APAC

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- A degree in HR, Business or related field - or equivalent experience
- Proven HR generalist experience in a fast-paced, commercial environment
- Knowledge of HR best practice, employment law, benefits and employee relations
- Experience supporting leaders across multiple functions and/or regions
- Strong organisation, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
- High levels of discretion, professionalism and confidentiality
- Confidence with HRIS, applicant tracking systems and Microsoft Office tools
- Flexibility to work across time zones when needed
