**JUNIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR (URGENT HIRING JUNE)**

Job Type :Full time, Permanent

Salary Range :RM 2,200 - RM 3,000 per month

Working day :5.5 days

Working time:
Monday-Friday : 8.30 am to 5.30pm ; 12.30 to 1.30 pm lunch hour

Saturday : 8.30 am to 1.30pm

**Full job description**

Quantity surveyors have under their helm complete management of the cost involved in building and construction projects from the inception of the project until the delivery. They strive for an efficient use of the resources whilst keeping an eye on quality, quality standards, and client's requirements.
- Preparation of estimates such as preliminary estimate, approximate quantities estimates, pre-tender estimates
- Carry out cost studies of various design options and/or specifications.
- Team member for tender document & associated addenda preparation, including:
- Tasks planning, coordinating, and managing.
- Setting up structure of quantities take-off & BQs.
- Check and review the accuracy of quantity model generated or measurement carried out by team.
- Check and review the accuracy of final quantity input.
- Working with team to prepare BQs using excel whenever it deems more appropriate.
- Check and review the accuracy of BQs.
- Review the terms and conditions included in the tender document, their relevancy and make recommendation of omission or addition to the Management.
- Working with team to identify queries arising from quantities take-off, BQs and terms and conditions preparation process.
- Liaison with Client, Architect and Engineer to resolve all queries identified.
- Regularly update and report to Management on the status of the entire assignment.
- Working with Management to review, improve and streamline the entire process of tender document preparation.
- Handle and coordinate procurement process such as calling of tender, preparation of tender report, chairing of tender interview and drafting of letter of award.
- Prepare contract documentations.
- Conduct site valuation and prepare interim valuations.
- Manage, evaluate and settle variation orders from time to time.
- Preparation of final account.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned by Management from time to time.

Job Requirements:

- Minimum Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- Minimum 1-2 years of working experience as a Quantity Surveyor/Contract Executive or relevant role in project consultancy industry, or Fresh Graduate
- Possess measurement skills and understanding of Malaysia Standard Method of Measurement and Contracts i.e. PAM Contract
- Articulate and proficient in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia
- IT/Computer literate and proficient in MS Office and CAD
- Able to work independently with high degree of integrity and confidentiality.
- Initiative, proactive, committed with a good working attitude.
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Able to anticipate immediate superior’s requirements and deliver assignments on time.
- Pleasant disposition, resourceful, meticulous, and able to multi-task to take on additional responsibilities to grow beyond core role.
