The resort consists of 499 guest rooms, a 64-acre nature reserve, the Rasa Ria Reserve, home to wildlife including long-tailed macaques and slow lorises, and home to an 18-hole championship golf course with picture-perfect views of Mt Kinabalu (a UNESCO World Heritage site).

We're looking for an experienced and dynamic, Golf Course Superintendent or aspiring to be required for our Dalit Bay Golf & Country Club.

Job summary

The Golf Course Superintendent, under the guidance of Director of Golf Operations, is responsible to determine, assign, coordinate, and supervise the work of personnel engaged in the overall maintenance and ad hoc improvisational construction of golf course facilities.

Requirement

Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in golf course design, landscape, maintenance and construction work.
Certificate or Diploma in turf management and/or horticulture is desired
Knowledge of the principles and techniques of golf course maintenance and construction; drainage and irrigation systems; the methods and materials used in the planting and maintenance of turf; the operation, use, and repair of light and heavy motorized construction and maintenance equipment.
Ability to plan and layout work programs; supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance crews; keep records and prepare reports; establish effective working relationships with subordinates and all level of colleagues.
Experience in managing a large staff.
Strong leadership and strategic planning experience
Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skill
Strong communication skills, verbal and written
Articulate, neat and presentable
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
