We now have a fantastic opportunity for a commercial and seasoned indirect/non-trade Procurement Manager with strong people skills to join us and continue to grow within our company.

The day-to-day responsibilities for the role cover a wide span of activities. Here are some of the key areas:

- Understand the business requirements and identify the right suppliers to initiate business and partnerships
- Overall governance of non-trade procurement and ensuring all purchases are cost efficient without sacrificing quality and delivery time.
- Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms.
- Finalize purchase details of orders, organise and schedule deliveries.
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
- Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the purchase.
- Monitor stock level for non-trade items.
- Control spending and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
- System entry of purchase order and GRN, follow up vendor’s invoice and payment.

Qualifications we look for:

- Any Degree/Advanced Diploma (required)
- Minimum of 5 year(s) in a procurement role. Experience in grocery stores/ supermarkets/ hypermarkets/ convenience stores and/ or retail business would be an added advantage
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

Skills you will need to thrive in this role:

- Proven indirect/non-trade procurement experience, with a passion for sustainability Strong analytical abilities to problem solve
- Exceptional negotiation skills and contract management experience
- Supplier selection and management experience
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market
- Ideally experience working in similar complex organisations will be an added advantage
- A love of retail (and the fast pace) Excellent communication and relationship management skills

**Salary**: From RM4,500.00 per month
