WithSecure Intelligence is our unit dedicated to researching endpoint threat detection, cloud and web security, detection and response methodologies, data-driven threat insights, and tracking and deciphering advanced persistent threats. Our team includes machine learning experts, malware analysts, reverse engineers, threat intelligence specialists, detection engineers, and security researchers. We closely collaborate with partners, industry counterparts, academic institutions, investigative journalists, and local CERTS, to ensure the unit learns from and contributes to global cyber security efforts.

We’re looking for someone who’s keen on learning new skills and developing as a cyber security professional. If you’re interested in taking your first steps in the cyber security field and want to learn about cyber threats and how experts protect against them, look no further than this internship.

**Key Responsibilities**

If you're a keen programmer, you’ll also have the chance to work on some smaller coding projects like automating tasks, creating rules, or performing data analysis.

**What are we looking for?**
- Degree in IT and/or similar field of study.
- Basic **knowledge of Windows operating systems**.
- **High-level understanding of computer security**.
- **Good verbal and written communication skills in English** and the **ability to interact easily with people of different cultures and backgrounds**.
- Malaysian citizen or international student with a valid student visa for the complete duration of the internship.

**Bonus points**

Higher consideration will be given to anyone with the following experience:

- Familiarity with scripting languages (LUA, Python, JavaScript).
- Basic knowledge of C/C++ and/or other low level programming languages.
- Familiarity with the basics of data analysis.
