**Key Responsibilities**
- **Sourcing & Supplier Management**:
- Identify and source raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and equipment required for the central kitchen and production operations.
- Develop and maintain supplier database (local and overseas).
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery lead time with suppliers.
- Evaluate and qualify new suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- **Price Comparison & Cost Control**:
- Obtain quotations from multiple suppliers and prepare price comparison sheets.
- Recommend cost-effective options while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Monitor market trends and price fluctuations for key raw materials.
- **Procurement Planning**:
- Coordinate with **factory and warehouse teams** to identify material requirements and reorder points.
- Ensure timely procurement to avoid stockouts or production delays.
- Maintain proper records of purchase orders, invoices, and supplier agreements.
- **Quality Assurance & Compliance**:
- Ensure all procured items meet the company’s specifications, HACCP, ISO, or other food safety standards.
- Work with QA team to perform quality checks on incoming goods.
- Handle any supplier non-compliance, quality issues, or claims.
- **Overseas & Local Procurement**:
- Source raw materials and specialty items from **both local and international suppliers**.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, customs agents, and logistic providers for import shipments.
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and documentation requirements.
- **Cross-Department Communication & Project Support**:
- Work closely with marketing, warehouse, branding, and training teams to support new product launches and major projects.
- Follow up on local sourcing projects to increase the share of local procurement.
- **Demand Management**:
- Based on market operations and marketing activities, plan and execute purchasing according to material standards, supplier lead times, and logistics schedules.
- Ensure timely and accurate procurement to meet production and sales needs.
- **Supplier Relationship & Continuous Improvement**:
- Build strong relationships with key suppliers for long-term partnerships.
- Explore alternative sourcing options to reduce dependency on single suppliers.
- Continuously review and improve procurement processes for efficiency and cost savings.
**Competencies Required**
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain, and vendor management.
- Familiarity with food industry standards (HACCP, ISO, GMP) preferred.
- Analytical skills for price comparison and cost analysis.
- Ability to manage both local and overseas procurement.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently.
- Able to communicate well in English, Malay and **Mandarin** as this role requires engaging with **Mandarin-speaking suppliers.**
Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,800.00 per month
