As a Cost Accountant, you will perform manufacturing month end closing, send evaluations and analysis in monthly basis and communicate the result to Team members. You will be reporting to the Operations Accounting Manager, SEA. Your will be working on hybrid mode, in Shah Alam, Malaysia. **Main Responsibilities** - Perform manufacturing month end closing, send evaluations & analysis in monthly basis and communicate the result to Partners. - To provide crucial data on inventory control, activity-based costing, and operational performance to your team with in-depth information. - To understand cost structure, able to provide in-depth cost analysis such as Cost Per Unit (CPU), Manufacturing variance (MV), Purchase Price variance (PPV). - To prepare journals for TPE/TPI in intercompany transactions by partnering with related department in other regions. - To perform Costing Run quarterly on Standard Cost Method and Price updates with detail cost review and ensuring every cost run process are in place. - To prepare Manufacturing budgets annually by coordinating with stakeholders and related departments - To review spending, growth projections and helps with product pricing and process evaluations. - To conduct Account Analysis review in Trintech in monthly basis for all Costing related GLA within given timeline. - To coordinate with Supply Chain on annual stock count and posting inventory count adjustment with appropriate approval obtained. - Participate in project assigned on costing related (If any) **Qualifications** - Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance - More than 3 years’ experience in Manufacturing costing/GL Accounting/FP&A is mandatory - Able to converse, read and write in English & Mandarin language - Knowledge/experience in Oracle or SAP S4 - Passional in financial closing in monthly and yearly basis - Able to convey appropriate information to stakeholder’s for decision making. - Excel skills (can maintain complex spreadsheets) - Ability to work with large volumes of data; sort, filter, pivot, summarize, error check. **About us**: **PPG: WE PROTECT AND BEAUTIFY THE WORLD** **The PPG Way** Every single day at PPG: **We partner with customers to create mutual value.** **We are "One PPG" to the world.** **We trust our people every day, in every way.** **We make it happen.** **We run it like we own it.** **We do better today than yesterday - everyday.** Benefits will be discussed with you by your recruiter during the hiring process.
