Cost Control Manager

We are a well-established automotive manufacturing group with multiple plants across Malaysia. Our operations cover vehicle components, car seat assembly and vehicle assembly. The group is expanding rapidly and investing in digital transformation to strengthen cost control, improve efficiency and enhance management visibility across all plants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead cost control and reporting functions for all operating plants.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards for real-time monitoring of costs, budgets and cash flow.
  • Oversee cash flow planning, budget utilization and purchase order (PO) management.
  • Ensure data integrity and alignment between ERP (Microsoft Dynamics 365), Power BI and financial reports.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance and Plant Operations to ensure cost efficiency and timely reporting.
  • Conduct variance analysis, identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide insights and reports to management for strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with internal cost control policies and financial reporting standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics or related field.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience in cost control, cost accounting or financial analysis, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Strong system knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (ERP) is a must.
  • Proficient in Power BI and Microsoft Excel for data visualization and analysis.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and presentation skills.
  • Good communication skills and able to work collaboratively with plant and corss-functional team.
  • Proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese.
  • Willing to travel to other locations as required.
