Job Summary

Job Summary:
The _Production Planner_ will be based in _Prai, Penang_.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:

- Reviews production schedules and related information and confers with department managers to determine material requirements to identify overdue materials and to track material.
- Develops production plan and releases manufacturing orders to support plan.
- Coordinates the requisition of material and establishes sequential delivery dates to departments, according to job order priorities and material availability.
- Determines daily product pack schedules to support overall production schedule and product on-time delivery.
- Notifies Production Planning Manager of critical movement material and production situations that could impact schedule attainment.
- Computes the amount of material required to complete job orders.
- Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records such as material inventory, in-process production reports, and status and location of materials.
- Tracks and reports some key manufacturing metrics, such as cycle time against goal and/efficiency, and assists in cycle time reduction and efficiency improvement efforts.
- Participant in Small Group Activities (SGA) for continuous improvement
- To prepare and ensure delivery commit to the customer are met as per plan and always align with the customer on the priority model to build and ship.
- Ensure planning KPI always meet per target or exceed

- Demonstrates advanced functional and technical skills and basic process skills.
- Demonstrates advanced/thorough knowledge of the function and Flex business.
- Demonstrates basic people and/or process management skills.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and customers.
Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret and extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

- At least Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
- Typically requires a minimum of 5years of related experience.
