Technician (Manufacturing)

**Job Title: Process Technician**

**Job Summary**:
Oversees and controls production processes, ensuring they operate efficiently and meet quality standards. Troubleshoot issues, perform routine maintenance, and improve processes.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Process Monitoring and Control**:

- Monitor production processes to ensure they operate within specified parameters.
- Adjust machinery and equipment settings to optimise performance.

**2. Process Improvement**:

- Suggest modifications to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma).

**3. Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving**:

- Identify and resolve issues in the production process to minimise downtime.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs.
- Conduct root cause analysis for process deviations or quality issues.

**4. Quality Assurance**:

- Develop maintenance procedures & schedules, and ensure good implementation.
- Document process data and quality metrics for compliance and reporting.

**5. Equipment Maintenance**:

- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment.
- Assist in the installation and calibration of new equipment.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently.

**6. Safety and Compliance**:

- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Conduct safety inspections and report hazards or incidents.
- Implement good 5S management for systematic, traceable, clean and safety workplace.

**7. Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of production data, maintenance activities, and process changes.
- Prepare reports on process performance, issues, and improvements.
- Ensure documentation complies with regulatory requirements.

**8. Training and Support**:

- Train new operators on processes and equipment.
- Provide technical support to production teams as needed.

**9. Ad Hoc Tasks**:Undertake any ad-hoc assignments as and when required by superior.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in a technical field (e.g. electrical or mechanical) is preferred.
- **Experience**: 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficient in operating and maintaining industrial machinery.
- Good knowledge in process control systems (e.g. PLCs).
- Familiar with quality assurance principles and tools.
- **Soft Skills**:

- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Attention to detail and a focus on quality.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- **Work Environment**:
Typically works in manufacturing or production facility.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
