Instructional Designer

**Job Responsibilities**:
- Conduct needs assessments and analyze related tasks as a method of designing and developing training programs in English and potentially other languages to include multimedia solutions as well as participant guides and instructor guides.
- Develop and maintain all learning solutions including instructor guides, training exercises and certification questionnaires.
- Deliver meaningful and customer targeted facilitated classroom and virtual training courses in English and potentially other languages.
- Manage pre
- and post-course activities.
- Maintain internal and external relationships with departments responsible for defining to maintain and up-date the existing instructional resources.
- Use established evaluation processes to ensure the continuing relevance of training to business needs.
- Serves as Subject Matter Expert in providing consultancy to internal customers for selected existing/new training sessions.
- Curate courseware and documentation to ensure appropriateness of design, functional accuracy, instructional integrity, language and branding/writing standards
- Development of training materials, storyboards, instructional design, training courses, training plans, and content accuracy
- Create a wide variety of materials, including training courses, training proposals, training plans and evaluations with a focus on accuracy and content reuse
- Develop storyboards, job aids, scripts, for instructor led as well as self-paced training materials
- Use instructional design tools to create online training, including the recording of voice-over instruction
- Evaluate effectiveness of new learning programs
**Job Requirements**:
**Primary**:
- Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation - ability to structure content and activities for optimizing learning (adult learning methodologies, learner styles, and e-learning principles, when applicable)
- Knowledge transfer skills - ability to transform expert content into learner-friendly classroom, online, and/or blended learning solutions
- Imagination and passion for learning - ability to produce current, engaging training materials in different modalities and class evaluations for classroom and continuing education instruction
- Strategic and critical thought - ability to conduct continuous program needs analysis to reshape content for changing needs; ensure content matches established objectives
- Writing skills - ability to create learner guides, facilitator guides, handouts, cheat sheets, worksheets, workbooks, and training manuals
- Technical skills - ability to create and test multimedia related to the coursework
Secondary:
- Basic project management skills
- Strong time management skills
- Excellent writing and editing skills, and a keen attention to detail
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent presentation/facilitation skills
- Strong organizational skills and interpersonal skills in working with a diverse population

- Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, preferred
- Strong analytical skills to review and organize source material
- Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload with attention to detail
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: RM5,000.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
