As part of this growth, we are seeking friendly and guest-focused individuals to join our Front Office team.
**About the Role**
The Front Office Assistant is responsible for delivering efficient and professional front desk services, including guest check-in/check-out, handling reservations, and assisting with guest inquiries. This role plays a vital part in ensuring a smooth and pleasant guest experience from arrival to departure.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Welcome and assist guests at the Front Desk with check-in, check-out, and room assignments.
- Handle reservations, room changes, extensions, and cancellations according to hotel policies.
- Process payments, billing, and cashiering accurately.
- Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a prompt and professional manner.
- Provide information on hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
- Coordinate with Housekeeping and other departments to ensure room readiness.
- Handle telephone calls, messages, and guest correspondence.
- Ensure compliance with front office procedures and brand service standards.
- Assist in handling VIP arrivals, loyalty program members, and special requests.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Front Office Supervisor/Manager.
**Requirements**:
- Diploma/Degree in Hospitality, Tourism, or related field.
- Knowledge of hotel PMS (Opera/Fidelio or similar) is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Pleasant personality with a guest-oriented mindset.
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
- Well-groomed and professional appearance.
