JR47960 Payroll Accountant

We are looking for a high energy and passionate payroll professional, with strong teamwork spirit and integrity to join us as Analyst, Malaysia Payroll.
As analyst for Malaysia Payroll, you will be accountable for Payroll operations mainly in Malaysia, with opportunities for cross countries’ immersion. You will be an individual contributor and support the team in delivering payroll services that are compliant to local statutory regulations, controls, and company policies.

Responsibilities:
1. Ensure payroll (both off cycle and main run) for Malaysia is processed timely and accurately
2. Prepare various monthly payroll reports, payroll cost & accrual journal and payment forecast for Finance Department
3. Prepare overtime reports, absence analysis and absence reports for Site HR and Site Director
5. Conduct briefing to new hires during Micron Launch on payroll matters such as basic pay and overtime calculation and understanding of items on pay slip
6. Responsible for monthly submission for EPF, SOCSO, EIS and tax, and other statutory requirements
7. Responsible for quarterly statistical submission of gross payroll and payroll headcounts to government
8. Ensure there is proper tax clearance performed for separated foreigner TMs
9. Ensure the annual EA form is generated and uploaded to PeopleNow timely
10. Work with Payroll tax vendor for tax filing matters for authorized assignees
11. Have regular operation calls within Payroll team to consistently follow up on payroll related matters
12. Handle SAP payroll system and conduct UAT testing
13. Attend to auditors' queries during the various audit such as RBA, payroll audit etc
14. Draft Mass Communication messages for monthly payroll timeline and other ad-hoc announcements/ occasions etc
15. Update monthly Payroll metrics for Malaysia
16. Review, propose and implement enhanced payroll processes
17. To be the backup person for other Malaysia payroll entities
18. Support in all adhoc duty or projects as assigned by supervisor

Education
- Minimum Degree or equivalent experience.
- Business, Finance, Human Resource Management, Tax & Accounting

Experience
- Processing In-house Payroll operations with 1 - 2 years of experience
- Strong knowledge in local labor and taxation laws
- Experience in payroll transformation projects and implementation.
- Experience in Work Day, SAP Payroll and ServiceNow will be a bonusred
